Tanktwo Business Roadmap: Where We’re Heading

We recently launched the data-driven, software-defined Tanktwo Battery Operating System (TBOS) to usher in a new era of accessible and sustainable electrification. Here’s how we plan to turn our vision into reality:

Who are our customers?

Currently, we partner with companies that make high-value applications, like aerospace, defense, and medical device manufacturers, that need their battery packs to perform very specific functions.

If you want an extremely reliable solution — we’re the only game in town. If you want a battery pack to put into a rocket and control it even when it’s in space — we have the answer.

Unlike most startups that show you diagrams and renderings, we have put our battery solutions through the wringer: We have delivered proven technology to a prominent defense manufacturer in the US (already generated $5M+ in sales.)

Who are our competitors?

The answer isn’t hardware or battery.

At first glance, many would assume that our competitors are battery companies like CATL, Samsung, and Freyr, who produce large quantities for B2B customers. However, their products have limited variability in attributes, such as size, capacity, chemistry, and shape.

We occupy a completely different space.

Even though we build batteries, we’re a software company that enables optimization through analytics. As we scale, we’ll get closer to the model of companies like Uber, Amazon, Microsoft, and Google because we manage data and information. We gather insights and apply predictive analytics to optimize high-value assets — lithium batteries — efficiently.

On the other side of the chart are consulting companies. Many of our customers’ applications are so unique that they’ll require specialized knowledge to integrate our battery system into their applications. We offer a paid consultancy service to support the engineering product.

Our Business Roadmap

As we expand, we’ll scale from offering highly specific, live-or-death, one-off custom solutions to providing off-the-shelf industrial applications and enterprise-grade mass-market products.

We do that through the Tanktwo Battery Operation System (TBOS,) which allows us to deliver highly customized solutions at scale (learn more about the nuts and bolts in this article.)

TBOS: Enabler of electrification at an unprecedented scale

Software-defined power management technology is the bedrock on which the future of electrification is built. TBOS gives product builders the ability to select the functionalities they need for various applications, at the degree they need them, without lengthy and costly R&D.

We are at a pivotal moment where electrification, energy storage/mobility, and scalable computing converge. The powerful combo will not only solve our climate and geopolitical crises. Advances in efficiency will open many doors and address environmental, social, and economic issues directly and indirectly.

The world is aware that electrification is inevitable. But it can’t help us turn the corner without the right technology to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and scale solutions.

Tanktwo’s data-driven, software-defined battery technology will enable access to electricity-powered technologies at an affordable cost. Builders of high-value equipment can take advantage of the ease of implementation, lower development costs, shorter time to market, dramatically improved flexibility, and unprecedented reliability.

We’re positioned in the right place and at the right time to allow our investors to do well by doing good.
